Driving in Mexico

You may have been driving for 35 years, you may have the driving record of a saint. Your auto insurance company may think you walk on water, but the moment you cross an international border - all bets are off. Because of the varying policies of different governments, your US auto insurance is usually null and void. There are some exceptions, such as with certain types of commercial vehicles, but most regular old passenger cars and trucks need to be re-insured by a firm that issues policies that are valid in Mexico.

You HAVE to get Mexican auto insurance to drive in Mexico. Don’t take the risk!

Mexican auto insurance is very reasonably priced, and will be worth it’s weight in gold if you happen to have an accident. For just a few dollars a day you can tour and peruse the Mexican countryside to your hearts content, putting aside the horror stories you’ve heard about uninsured motorists in Mexico.

Acai Berry Superfood: Provides High Energy, Reduces The Signs Of Aging (anti -aging), Lowers Cholesterol, Kills Cancer Cells And Greatly Increases Heart Health.

For many years, the Acai berry (ah-sah-ee) has been a well-kept secret of the Amazon rainforest and it has only been on the market for about the last 5 years. The rainforests of the Amazon are thought to hold the key to treating many ailments and common diseases, and for thousands of years the indigenous peoples of the Amazon region have known about the many health-enhancing benefits of the Acai berry.

The Acai berry grows wild on top of many palm trees that are native to the rainforests of Brazil and the Amazon basin. Local farmers in the area harvest the fruit of the tree, and it is used to make a healthful fruit pulp. This fruit pulp is then quickly frozen in order to preserve its nutrient value.

The Acai berry itself is a deep purple color, and it is quite rich in a number of important nutrients, including many of the most valuable antioxidant vitamins.

ENERGY, HEART HEALTH: The Acai berry will give you a high energy boost. It is also thought to have a significant impact on heart health, and on the health of the cardiovascular system. In particular, the Acai berry contains a very high concentration of compounds known as anthocyanins. These compounds are the same ones thought to be responsible for giving red wine its widely reported health benefits. However the Acai berry has 10 to 30 times more anthocyanins then does red wine.

LOWERS CHOLESTEROL LEVELS: In addition to these anthocyanins, Acai berries are known to contain large amounts of protein and fiber, as well as both omega-6, which lowers cholesterol levels and omega-9 fatty acids, which lowers LDL cholesterol levels and maintains natural HDL cholesterol levels. These omega fatty acids have been studied for years as a way to protect the heart from damage, and reduce the amount of cholesterol in the blood, thereby providing possible protection from heart attacks, strokes and other common cardiovascular complications.

These anthocyanins are known to have significant health benefits, and they are the subjects of many studies. Many people are looking for ways to capture the many health benefits that have been associated with the consumption of red wine, but without the calories and other negative consequences of red wine consumption. The rich, delicious fruit of the acai berry may be able to provide these important health benefits.

ANTI-AGING: Perhaps the most important health benefit of the acai berry, however, is its strong impact on the aging process. As a matter of fact, the acai berry is generally acknowledged to be one of the top superfoods for anti-aging. The amino acids and vital trace minerals found in the Acai berry aid in proper muscle contraction and regeneration, thereby slowing damaging effects to the skin that cause signs of aging. The fatty acid found in the Acai berry is similar to that of olive oil and is high in monounsaturated oleic acid. This fatty acid combined with Omega 3 fish oils penetrates cell membranes and makes them suppler. This allows for hormones, neurotransmitters and Insulin Receptors to operate more efficiently, which greatly reduces inflammation, inflammation being one of the leading causes of Aging.

HIGH IN ANTIOXIDANTS, DESTROY CANCER CELLS: The antioxidant benefits of the acai berry, combined with the fatty acids it contains, make this one of the most important superfoods on the market. The Acai berry is thought to have an antioxidant content which is a full 10 times greater than that found in grapes, and twice as high as those found in blueberries. As a matter of fact, the acai berry is widely acknowledged to have the highest nutritional value of any fruit in the world, and this has earned it the acai berry the title of superfood. These antioxidants destroy cancer cells. A study done by the University of Florida and published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry in January of 2006 did research that showed that the antioxidants in the Acai berry triggered a self-destruct response in 86% of the cultured Leukemia cancer cells tested.

Additional information: For such a tiny fruit, the Acai berry seems to have a great many heart healthy benefits, and the secret that has been part of Amazon culture for thousands of years is slowly spreading to the rest of the world. The Acai berry is a rich source of antioxidant vitamins, protein, fiber and heart protecting fatty acids, and it has an important role to play in protecting our good health.

Acai berries can be purchased whole and eaten as part of a healthy diet, but they are most often encountered in juice form. Acai berry juice is widely available both in health food stores and from many Internet retailers. As with other kinds of juice, it is important to ensure that the Acai berry juice you buy is made with 100% pure juice, and that it contains no artificial ingredients or added sugar.

As the popularity of the Acai berry continues to grow, and as its value to good health continues to get out, it is likely that this little purple fruit will become more widely available. In coming years, Acai berries are likely to be available at traditional grocery stores and supermarkets in addition to health food stores and Internet retailers.

When choosing between products made with the Acai berry, it is important to choose only the highest quality products, and to look for products that have been frozen quickly after harvest. How the Acai berries are handled after harvest can have a significant impact on their health benefits, so it is important to buy your Acai berry juice from those who use the best manufacturing methods.

Organic Lecithin Has Health And Food Processing Benefits

Lecithin or phosphatidycholine (PC) is a phospholipid, first discovered in the 1800s by a French scientist called Maurice Gobley. He extracted the compound from an egg yolk and in 1850 the compound was named lecithin from the word lekithos, which is the Greek term for egg yolk.

This lecithin was first used commercially as an emulsifying agent for a number of years. It could extend the life of many processed foods so the food industry began to add it to all kinds of food products including baked goods, nut butters, candies, chocolates, protein drinks, prepared foods and instant soups. The lecithin would also be added to recipes for flavor and also to be an emulsifying agent.

In the 1930’s when there was a boom in soyabean consumption, the byproduct of the soyabean processing was discovered to include 1.8 percent of hydrophosphatides. If this sludge was put through a process called “degumming” organic lecithin could be extracted and it would be an alternative to the lecithin from eggs. With this new development, lecithin really gained in popularity.

In fact the organic lecithin from the soybean turned out to be a safer product. The animal’s lecithin goes through the kidneys and may come in contact with all sorts of toxins. The soyabean lecithin hasn’t got that kind of potential pitfall so presently soybean lecithin makes up the main part of lecithin sold commercially.

Aside from food, organic lecithin has a multitude of other uses and has been added to paints, metal tape, animal feeds and cosmetics. In addition to that, it is sometimes used as a supplement in things such as capsules, granules or pills.

There are a number of effects that are related to lecithin. For one, it keeps fat dispersed in food. It prevents the oils from separating. In fact, one theory is, that it in this way it may help keep the cholesterol levels in a body low in the same way. This is still a theory though. Lecithin allows the fat content in foods to be reduced while maintaining the taste.

Organic lecithin is comprised of ethanolamine, insotil, phosphatides of choline and other lipids. All living organisms have these substances which are necessary in the human for the muscles, liver and the reproductive tract.

Lecithins must be studied further by the medical research community. It may be a potential treatment for high cholesterol. It keeps the fat in the bile and disperses cholesterol. Right now lecithin has been added to a number of dietary supplements for weight loss.

Organic lecithin holds great promise in the weight loss and cholesterol control fields of medicine. In addition it is very important to modern day food processing.

What Are The Differences Between An Ssw, Msw, Csw, And Lcsw?

Types of Social Work Degrees:

Social workers can earn three types of degrees, as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics:

? Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW): “A bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) degree is the most common minimum requirement to qualify for a job as a social worker; however, majors in psychology, sociology, and related fields may qualify for some entry-level jobs, especially in small community agencies. Although a bachelor’s degree is sufficient for entry into the field, an advanced degree has become the standard for many positions.”

“BSW programs prepare graduates for direct service positions, such as caseworker, and include courses in social work values and ethics, dealing with a culturally diverse clientele, at-risk populations, promotion of social and economic justice, human behavior and the social environment, social welfare policy and services, social work practice, social research methods, and field education. Accredited BSW programs require a minimum of 400 hours of supervised field experience.”

? Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW): “A master’s degree in social work (MSW) is typically required for positions in health settings and is required for clinical work as well. Some jobs in public and private agencies also may require an advanced degree, such as a master’s degree in social services policy or administration. Supervisory, administrative, and staff training positions usually require an advanced degree.”

“Master’s degree programs prepare graduates for work in their chosen field of concentration and continue to develop the skills required to perform clinical assessments, manage large caseloads, take on supervisory roles, and explore new ways of drawing upon social services to meet the needs of clients. Master’s programs last 2 years and include a minimum of 900 hours of supervised field instruction, or internship. A part-time program may take 4 years. Entry into a master’s program does not require a bachelor’s degree in social work, but courses in psychology, biology, sociology, economics, political science, and social work are recommended. In addition, a second language can be very helpful. Most master’s programs offer advanced standing for those with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited social work program.”

? Doctorate in Social Work (DSW or Ph.D.): “College and university teaching positions and most research appointments normally require a doctorate in social work. DSW’s and Ph.D.’s are qualified for research, policy analysis, or teaching at the university level.”

How To Recognize The Symptoms Of Scabies

Symptoms of scabies include a scabies rash, which looks like tiny red bumps or blisters, and severe itching. You may also see tiny red “threads” between the bumps, but these are so small that they can be difficult to see. The itching is by far the worst of the symptoms of scabies. It is relentless and can keep you up at night.

Scabies is a condition in which one becomes infested with mites called Sarcoptes scabeie. These eight-legged mites are about 1/3 of a millimeter long. They cannot be seen with the naked eye but can be viewed with a magnifying glass or microscope. The mites burrow into the skin and cause a scabies rash.

How do you get scabies?

You can get scabies through close physical contact with someone who has scabies. Close physical contact is required. For instance, scabies is often transmitted during sexual contact. It can also be spread from a parent to a child or from a child to a parent when the parent is holding the child. It is unlikely to be spread during casual contact like shaking hands with someone who has scabies, though.

The mites can only live outside the body for a very short time, so you are unlikely to get scabies from bed linens, clothing, towels, etc. that have been used by a person with scabies, though it is possible. You cannot get scabies by drinking from the same cup as someone who has it or by using the same bathroom. You should avoid close contact with anyone who has symptoms of scabies or a scabies rash, however.

Scabies cannot be spread from animals to humans. Dogs can get a form of mites that is often called “the mange” which has symptoms of scabies similar to those humans get, but it is not the same thing. People cannot get the same form of scabies that dogs get, and dogs cannot get the same form of scabies that people get.

How do you get rid of scabies?

If you have symptoms of scabies, you will want to get scabies treatment right away. Untreated, symptoms of scabies will just get worse and the itching will grow more and more severe.

Scabies treatment may include a topical cream and/or an oral medication. Generally only one or the other is prescribed. Both are about equally effective. The topical treatment has fewer side effects, but is messier and less convenient than the oral medication. The topical cream is usually applied to the skin from the neck down, left on for about eight hours or overnight, and then washed off. This should be repeated in seven days. Oral medication is taken as soon as symptoms of scabies are diagnosed, and then a second dose is taken two weeks later. You will need to see a doctor to make sure that you have a scabies rash and not some other skin condition. Then your doctor will prescribe the appropriate treatment for you. Family members or any other persons who may have been ex posed should also be treated, even if they do not show symptoms of scabies, but to be on the safe side.

It is usually recommended that you wash bed linens and clothing in hot water to kill any mites there. Scabies can live for about 24-36 hours outside of the body, so wash any clothing, towels, or other items you have used during that length of time prior to treatment. You do not need to worry about cleaning any other items because any mites left on them will die on their own.

Scabies is easy to diagnose and treat, so make sure you see your doctor at the first sign of a scabies rash so that you can begin scabies treatment right away.

Is it Safe For You To Join the Ranks of the Millions of Online Daters?

According to CBC, there are over 40 million visitors to online dating sites in the US and 7 million in Canada. Although these numbers may seem staggering, there are millions of other still who are hesitant to delve into the world of dating online. Why is this? What are the real risks of online dating? How can you keep yourself safe on and offline?

The first, and one of the most important rules is to never reveal any personal information, especially on a public profile where anyone with the internet can access it. Personal information of this nature includes real names, addresses, phone numbers, and any other sensitive information, especially banking or financial information. Contact information, like phone numbers and addresses should only be given to people once a certain level of trust and regular communication has been established. When dating online, protecting sensitive personal information that others can use to get access to money, personal files, and so on, can help protect your finances, and personal safety.

Meeting people from online dating sites face to face is also often perceived as quite risky. While there certainly are risks involved with meeting new people, certain safety precautions can, and should, be taken. For example, always meet in a public place, and keep a cell phone with you at all times. Tell a friend where you’re going, and who with. It’s also a good idea to designate a check in time, where you’ll call a friend to tell them where you are and how things are going, and let them know you’re safe.

Many people who stay away from dating online do so because of the perceived risks of meeting strangers over the internet. Though there certainly are risks to online dating, proper safety precautions and awareness of risks and strategies can help minimize these risks and make dating online a safe and enjoyable experience.

Nanny Cams

With the ever growing worry most Americans have over the safety of their kids comes even more concerns about the answers to those problems. If you and your wife/husband decide to go out to dinner next Friday night, you’ll need to decide what to do with the children. Take them with you, send them over to relatives homes, or pay a babysitter or nanny.

Any of those seemingly simple solutions has it’s own set of problems - if you take the kids with you, they probably don’t want to see the same movie(s) that you do. That in itself can be a scheduling problem. Or, if you offload them to friends homes, you need to plan a time when you’ll do the same for the friends when they decide to go out. Hiring the babysitter or nanny seems like a great, all around idea. Nanny’s come with references you can review, or better yet, you can use a nanny that a relative suggests, getting a big part of the screening process out of the way.

There may, however, be problems with the nanny that your friend(s) didn’t notice. This is exactly where the concept for the “nanny cam” or, more simply, the out-of-site camera, comes into play. Trying to place a video camera well enough to get a view of the area you wish to watch, yet hidden enough so that it’s not discovered, can be a very challenging job. Indeed — an entire product line has sprung up to meet this new need. Nanny cam’s can be had in all shapes and sizes, all colors and shapes. Some even masquerade as regular cameras!

It’s a pretty foregone conclusion that people want to know what other people do in their house when they’re not home. Placing a camera that looks like a teddy bear on a bookshelf is a good way to find out. If the camera is voice or motion activated, it can sit on that shelf for hours, just recording the scene when it changes. You can replay the images later on your VCR or computer screen. And the joy of the thing is that no one ever need know, you’re not legally bound to notify anyone before taking a picture of them. Far from it actually, we in USA have protection of such things covered by the first amendment to the Constitution.

These specialized cameras, or Nanny Cams, as they’re usually known these days, can be found in the electronics department of most major department stores. You can get a wide selection of them on the internet as well, just be sure when buying online to stick with major brands. The pricing of these cameras varies widely depending on the model, the options, recording length, tape vs. drive storage, etc. A reasonably full featured setup can be found for around $200. Various methods of hiding the cameras are avaiable - from the camera in the cookie jar to the camera that looks like a VCR.

Brain Damaging Habits

1. No Breakfast

People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2. Overeating

It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking

It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High SUGAR consumption

Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution

The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6. Sleep Deprivation

Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.

7. Head covered while sleeping

Sleeping with the head covered, increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness

Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts

Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely

Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain

The main causes of liver damage are:

1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.

2. Not urinating in the morning.

3. Too much eating.

4. Skipping breakfast.

5. Consuming too much medication.

6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring , and artificial sweetener.

7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.

8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.

Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and EATING HABITS. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to ’schedule.’

Because :

Evening at 9 - 11 PM : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on health.

Evening at 11pm - 1 am: is the detoxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 1 - 3 am: detoxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5 am: detoxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the detoxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.

Morning 5 - 7am: detoxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 - 9 am: absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30 am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30 am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 - 10 am rather than no meal at all.

Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals.

Aside from that, midnight to 4:00 am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood.

Therefore, have a good sleep and don’t sleep late.

Ultrasonic Detectors

Let’s cover ultrasonic detectors. The term ultrasonic denotes sound frequencies that are above the range of human hearing, the upper limit of which is 16 kHz in healthy people in their twenties. The frequencies used in ultrasonic detectors vary between different models, ranging from 23 to 40 kHz. The frequency is generated by an electronic oscillator and is fed to one or more loudspeakers. These need to be very small, smaller in fact than the tweeter in a hi-fi loudspeaker, because the moving parts must move very rapidly and so their mass must be kept to a minimum. This is an advantage of an ultrasonic detector alarm system as the units can then be made small and unobtrusive. The same unit contains a microphone with amplifying and processing circuits.

Ultra-high frequency sound is thus projected into the protected area of the ultrasonic detector. Some of it is received directly by the microphone from the loudspeaker, while some is picked up after being reflected from walls and objects in the room. When there is no movement, both direct and reflected sounds are of the same frequency. Should movement of an object occur, the sound reflected from it will undergo a change of frequency owing to the Doppler Effect. Thus the ultrasonic detector microphone now picks up two frequencies: the original received directly from the loudspeaker, and the shifted frequency reflected from the moving object.

If two different frequencies are mixed, the result is that a third one appears that is the difference between the two. When the two frequencies are close, the third is often termed a beat note. The effect can sometimes be heard when two internal combustion engines are idling at slightly different speeds: the beat note is heard by the ultrasonic detector as a throbbing sound that varies in frequency as the speed of one or other of the engines changes.

The processing circuits in the ultrasonic detector detect the presence of the beat note and actuate the output relay which is of normally closed type. The ultrasonic detector can thus be connected into a normal loop, but it is preferable for space detectors to be connected to a separate zone from the perimeter sensors so that rapid identification of the alarm source can be made. A power supply of 25 - 50 mA is required from the control box.

Ultrasonic detectors usually have a range up to 30ft, but they have a sensitivity control which can reduce the range down to about 10 ft. The polar pattern is in the form of a narrow lobe and so the device affords little protection at the sides. It should therefore be pointed towards the expected point of entry. As the Doppler Effect is greatest for forward or backward motion, the sensor is more sensitive to these than to side-to-side movements. This is another reason to mount the ultrasonic detector facing the possible point of entry.
